Is this a sign of healthy competition or jst another rivalry?? its always been amusing how Dubai has made it on the tourism map and not UAE...tho UAE consists of seven emirates its only Dubai, which is not the capital but the business hub, which makes it on the news.... it mite seem interesting that there has always been some rivalry between the two emirates and now this report in variety.com has been something of a confirmation.. not only r they competing on grounds of film festival and theme parks...but also on the real estate front... "Dubai may generate the ink, but Abu Dhabi has the oil".hope this is for the betterment of the whole country and not jst an emirate...

A very ambitious effort by a German architect to build an Energy tower or Burj al-Taqa as it will be known in Dubai.... this skyscraper will produce 100% of its own power!!! this is supposed to b one of the many megalomaniac projects gng on in dubai.... its very intrstng to read how solar power will b used to power the building. the airconditioning system will b similar to the ancient wind towers that can still b seen along the creek in dubai....
