came across this article that discusses how the modern gaming consoles like ps3, xbox have killed the pc gaming scene... i've been thinkng abt it lately....recently it was announced that xbox 360 prices are gng to be slashed...now is it worth getting a gaming PC....it does cost a bit to get a gud graphics card and a mobo that supports it. but the games for the pc r more readily availble thn the consoles....meaning ther r other sources like torrents for getting pc games. but i think the overall cost of a gaming console and the games will b a l'll higher than an average gaming pc... that was my opinion till i read this article...

i guess most of you already kno tht windows vista, the next edition of windows os is releasing sometime next year.... there are quite a few "editions" of vista available on the market...guess its jst a way to fleece every1...i guess ther r around 5 or 6 versions tht will b available..came across this article which describes the various versions and the differences. might b a gud read for those of you who've been wondering wht's with the versions....

i guess departed was one of the best movies that i've watched this year... very scorsese stuff... brilliant performance by jack nicholson... matt damon and di caprio were pretty gud but wudnt say excellent.... but it was really a gud movie and a pretty long one at that, of course not to mention the violence and headshots..... were there a l'll too many bullets to the head?? even though the movie is long it never really drags. overall a gud movie...but wht i wud have loved is to wtch de niro play costello....

ZUNE....tht's wht v've been hearing for a long time now... tons of pages giving us reviews of the zune even before it was released.. it made me feel like i've used one already. its going to be released only in the US... and i dont think any1 outside the US will b seeing 1 before the end of 2007. but is it really going to stand against the ipod... seeing the huge percentage of market that is already taken over by apple's ipod, it might sound rather suprising if i were to say that sooner or later zune is going to occupy a equally larger share. i think the most important feature of zune will be the wi-fi and this is going to revolutionize mp3 players. also the screen size is considerably big to watch movies or tv shows. the more wirefree the more better...isnt it gng to b cool to jst transfer songs without physically attaching the player to a pc or laptop? not yet...v've got to wait till that feature is integrated. lets wait and c if microsoft is going to claim a share of this market aswell...
This seems to be the latest from M$ on the webfront... they seem to b havng smthng to oppose everyone on every front.... be it music(zune), gaming(xbox), ofcourse their endless versions of operating systems and business suites like office... and every1 of the concepts seem to be aping some other if not better concept.... the latest of this is Aggreg8... " a social networking and collaboration space for the IT community"...tht's wht its being called...
There's been a lot of "social networking space" lately....myspace to begin with..was a phenomenon followed by orkut. ther's also numerous others like friendster, gazzag, hi5, etc... but Aggreg8 seems to be a pioneer in its concept... its more of a community for collaborating within IT community... they are "providing scripts, tools, and best practices for developers"... is this going to be a first of its kind? have to wait and see.
