Lost Finale

Lost Season 4 has come to an end...I guess its become the norm now to just have an explosive finale and have a rather boring season...I guess thts the only way people r going to continue watching Lost. Apart from all the complaining, I dont know y i still watch it....guess I  just want to see how the one TV serial I started watching from Day 1 end. Watched Lake House' recently, must say tho' it doesnt make any sense with the whole time-concept its a good-time pass.

I so know how you feel about Lost. I really don't know why I'm still watching it, I'm totally not interested. It's just that I've watched every episode so far and ... I mean, it's got to end sooner or later, doesn't it? It's like I've come this far, so why not stick it out to the bitter end. But I'm hoping that that end comes real soon now.

The Lake House: I like that movie (and if you look at today's post on my blog you'll be able to guess one of the main reasons why ;-) because it's a pretty charming movie, it has good performances and good chemistry between the actors, and some really moving and well made scenes. But it doesn't make sense. It absolutely does not make sense. I always knew it didn't, but I finally figured out why the third time I watched it. They're supposedly on two different timelines, right? And in the end they finally meet. But no, that's impossible, they can't ever meet, because they're not on different timelines, they're in different universes. The mailbox isn't a hole in time, it's a hole in the very space-time continuum itself, connecting two universes! Gasp!

My evidence: When Kate is going to definitely convince Alex of the two-year gap between them, she sends him a scarf because she knows it's gonna snow. And she has a picture of that snowfall, and she says to the dog 'you hated that day'. Right? So the dog was with her that day. But doesn't he also have the dog on that day where he is? So either the dog is in two places at once - which is obviously impossible - or there are two dogs, one in each universe. Which means that the ending, as beautiful as it it, is completely nonsensical, because, alas, these star-crossed lovers can never meet. Unless they manage to crawl through the mailbox somehow, and I don't think anyone wants to see that.

I'm really bored at work today, can you tell? ;-)
